I was lucky enough to handle April as one of my first BIG winning Chihuahuas. She was an absolute dream from day one. For those who were consistently showing in Adelaide at the time, they would have said then, and would still say now, how strong a bitch she was and how much she did for our kennels reputation as well as the breed in general
Bred by Janine Warren of "Janleo" Chihuahuas. "April" was THE Top Smoothcoat in South Australia for three consecutive years. She is South Australia's first smooth GRAND Champion. "April" won numerous Best in Group and Best in Show awards including Best in Show (All Breeds and Specialty). The highlight of her career was winning "Top Toy Puppy" one year at the Top Toy Triumph and then followed up winning the ultimate "Top Toy Triumph" against many brilliant Toys the next.
Aprils head was exceptional, large earls, round dome, round dark eye, a front those in the breed could only dream of. She converted big dog people into Chihuahua lovers and admirers of the breed, still, 6 years on from her last show people still ask me how shes going & when we will find another like her.
April is the Aunt of our up and coming star Voncronan Tribol Idol "Dahlia" who we hope can follow in April's footsteps as an All Breeds winner and Specialty winner who has already won numerous Baby in Group & Show awards at Championship Specialty level and All Breeds Championship shows, and we're not just saying that!!! Check out Dahlias results!!!!! These wins have been accumulated at Metropolitan Champ shows as well...Not just at country shows & not just under local judges!!!!
